RO Trip update

  Dear Friends,

I returned from my trip to Romania five days ago and wanted to fill you in before any more time went by! This trip went very well in comparison to other years and I am so blessed by it! I was able to visit the hospitals in Sibiu and Oradea, purchase supplies for three grassroots foundations, visit with many friends in Ministry there and see my two special children! It was a busy two weeks with rainy, cold weather, a small bout of ill health and shocking decree from the Oradea Hospital, but through it all I could see the Lord moving and accomplishing His will.

In my church presentations this year I spoke on the passage the Lord had given me from Ps. 37:3-7 (NLT) which says:
Trust in the Lord and do good.
Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.
Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you your heart’s desires.
Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him, and he will help you.
He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn,
and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.
Be still in the presence of the Lord,
and wait patiently for him to act.
Don’t worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their wicked schemes.

I spoke about how whether in this Ministry or in our personal lives, if we follow the outline in these verses, we would be blessed. Little did I know how they would comfort me during my visit. The second day of being in the hospital in Oradea, a doctor entered the rooms where we work and demanded to know why I was holding a baby in my arms. I explained who I was and that I had papers saying I could be there, The doctor became irate and ordered me to put the baby back in bed. I complied while Alina explained that I had a signed note from the Director saying that I could work in the hospital during my stay. The doctor stated that she didn't care; that no foreigner could hold the babies. She did calm down however, and told me that I might stay but could not touch the babies at all. I was devastated as I had never had any issues before even when other foundations had. I went home and prayed earnestly and read these Scriptures again and was given peace.
He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn,
and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.

I then heard stories of other directors that had been ordered to leave the hospital and not allowed to hold the babies either. The following day, I was told that if I wanted I could visit for 10 minutes at a time to confer with our employee and if I wanted to work with the children next time, I could send in a doctor's note of my vaccinations, a list of classes and credentials I have in child care and if approved I would have to give a stool sample to prove I am not carrying any diseases. While this means more hoops to jump through, I was pleased that they organized some sort of policy and are giving me a chance, when others were not offered one. Please pray that my paperwork will be approved and I can once again do what I so love!

On a good note, our hospital in Sibiu has approved us to place a worker in the wards to hold, play and care for the babies and preschoolers there! I am overjoyed at this news. We now need to find a special person who will properly care for the children and properly represent PHFTC in that hospital.

Our other exciting news is that we are one step closer to being allowed to bring a team of women into that hospital to hold babies! We are awaiting the official endorsement, so please pray that we will be allowed to do this if it is God's will!

I have more news on what we were able to do for the foundations that we support near Oradea, but that will have to wait for another time! Thank you for your continued support and interest! And remember if you want to partner with us on a monthly basis, it is not to late to do it.

Many Blessings,

Mona
